How much time do you spend posting your marketing content on social media instead of creating it and engaging with your audience?
I’m not a big social media fan but let’s get real. If you want to succeed online, you need to be there. Your website visitors are hanging on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+ and other social media sites.
A few years ago, I spent too much time on Facebook because I didn’t understand how to use it. I still don’t know much about it. Luckily, I learned enough to know how to use it for promotion and sales purposes.
Recently, I spoke with one of my students. She runs a small coaching business, and she told me she spends at least two hours each day on Facebook. She complained about how exhausting it is and how sick of it she is.
I was shocked where she finds so much time. She explained to me she posts at least 3–5 times per day and answers the comments all the time. She believes she needs to be in every possible group all the time. Of course, I showed her a new way. Now, she found the time for her yoga again.
It’s great to have regular communication with your audience but two hours every day are too much for me. I like online automation because it gives me more time for vital tasks and taking care of my students and clients.
So, if you believe me or not, I spend 5-15 minutes on social media per day. Sometimes, when I launch something, I need to be there more often, but I usually answer all questions within a few minutes and close my Facebook page.
Of course, when more people are commenting, I take as much time for them as needed. What I almost never do is browsing for additional fun videos or images just to waste my time on social media.
If you wonder why I don’t spend so much time on social media, I will tell you the secret. I write blog posts for my websites regularly. Then, I turn each blog post into 2-weeks up to 24-month social media campaigns. Of course, I need help with it.
I use an excellent service called Missinglettr. Missinglettr is an online service that takes a blog post from your blog and turns it into a 12-month social media campaign. Then, at the right (scheduled) time, it drips it to your social media profiles.
The image below shows the number of clicks I got to my blog from one of my Facebook pages. I call it free traffic on autopilot. How much do you think would Facebook charge me for those clicks?
How often and how long do I want to send the same post to my social media profiles?
It depends on the post type. Some posts are meant to inform my website visitors about something, and then they become old. Some other posts are evergreen.
I have lots of old evergreen posts. They got the attention when I published them. Some of them are on Google’s first page, and people are still reading them. Most of them are forgotten. At least they were ignored in the past.
When I started using Missinglettr, I realized I could put the old posts URLs, and the tool automatically creates social drip campaigns for me from those old posts. It was super helpful.
You have the complete control on what Missinglettr creates for you. Anytime, you can change anything if you don’t like the suggestion.
You can see how easily I get 1 year of social media content by repurposing the material I had already created a long time ago. What if I would tell you can create 2-years campaings?
I promised to tell you about the tools that you can get for free. When I started using Missinglettr, I didn’t believe how great it is. I signed up for a free account. Soon, I found it surprisingly helpful. So, I upgraded it to the Business account.
In the beginning, you don’t need a Business account. You can start for free just like I did. All you have to do is sign up here for a free account and launch your first social media automation. You can activate more campaings when you need them.
With a Business account, you can drip 24-month campaigns. What does it mean? When you write an evergreen blog post, Missinglettr automatically turns it into the 24-month campaign with 50 social media posts for each blog post. It automatically creates the quotes, images, and text.
Are you aware of how important consitent branding is? With Missinglettr you can edit how your posts will look like. The image below shows two of my templates using a dark blue color, but you can play with the templates and pick any color or shape you want.
Then, it sends a polite automated notification to approve the campaign. All you have to do is to check what is waiting for you. It usually takes 5-15 minutes. It really depends on how many messages you want to schedule. When you're happy with the campaign, you need to approve it, and that’s it.
Missinglettr then automatically sends all approved messages to social media profiles for the next 2 weeks up to 2 years at a scheduled time. I’m happy I don’t need to waste my time on posting because social media automation is working for me 24/7.
Please, never forget you’re talking to real people. I login to Facebook, Twitter or G+ at the times when I know Missinglettr will share no posts automatically. At those times, I share something time sensitive, reply to comments and answer the questions.
By showing up on social media for a few minutes only, I can be in touch with many people. The best thing is the majority of my audience are not online marketers or online business owners. They have no idea that something else is posting every day because I give them my best attention when I show on my profiles.
If you like to spend countless hours on social media, you don’t need Missinglettr. Just in case, you lack the time or would want to spend it on something more creative, sign up here for a free account and start enjoying the free traffic on autopilot. You can get started in minutes.
When you get the results, please, tell me how much this tool helped you with your free traffic.
I help people become the best version of themselves so they can become happier, more successful and live the life of their dreams.
